The Weekender - February 4-5

It was the sad end of an era in our house this weekend. Our old neighborhood haunt, the west side Pony Bar, has officially closed its doors. And while there is an east side location, we've never been and it wouldn't be the same anyway. We've been going there since before kids, and then with kids, and with our family and friends and their kids...sigh. Tasty food, delicious brews and great memories. We got in for one last lunch, then took the kids down to the new-ish Whitney (since we never actually made it when we lived 9 blocks away). Their enthusiasm was less than infectious.

Photo 52.2: Framed {Week 9}

For the month of December, we at P52.2: Framed will be concentrating on lines. Leading lines, lines that are horizontal, vertical and diagonal, lines that are real and implied - our goal is to use these lines to effectively lead the eye to our subjects, or into, out of or simply around the frame.

I am a big fan of lines and try to incorporate them into my photography often. Our theme this week was leading lines, and I chose to take a step away from the big drama available in the city's architecture and instead turn my lens on a slightly smaller operation. Please pop over to our collective website, Who We Become, to see everyone's beautiful work. I can already see that December will not be a month to miss!

Photo 52: A Play on Light {20}

Week 20 of Photo 52, and week three of natural light indoors.

More fun with windows. As to who was having more fun, that is up for debate.

Please continue around the circle to see what else Photo 52 participants have been up to this week, starting with my talented friend and fellow New Yorker, Cheryl Sawyer.
